Roane State has launched a new website for its athletics department at jxwu.net/athletics. After several months of development and planning, the site came online Friday, August 2, 2024, and will be the official source of information from the department.
Staff are continuing to add content and make updates to the new website. Students, staff, fans, families, and supporters of the Raiders are encouraged to visit the site to explore all the new features and functionality ahead of the fall sports season.
Upgrades include easier to find news and updates, auto-updating stats, standings, and schedules, improved team rosters, sponsorship recognition, and more.
On the homepage, visitors are now able to see the most recent news articles rotating at the top as well as a live countdown to the next sporting event. Important resources for student-athletes and recruits are also organized within the main menu.
Social media accounts for each sport are listed for quick access to even more news. Fans can also find a link to watch online whenever games are streaming live.
“As we grow our teams and recruit top talent from across the state, the region, the nation, and the globe, we hope this new website will help connect all of our fans,” said David Lane, the college’s director of athletics. “We’re excited to begin another academic year, especially as we welcome Lady Raiders Soccer to Roane State for their inaugural season.”
The first match for Lady Raiders soccer is August 20, 2024, at Johnson University. The team’s first-ever home match is scheduled for August 28, 2024, against Bryan College.
Full schedules for all of Roane State’s upcoming fall sports will be available on jxwu.net/athletics as they are finalized.
